Bath Time

Last week, as mentioned, Nathan's little stump fell off. No, not his peep. His umbilical cord leftovers. Thank goodness - that thing is nasty! Of course the first thing I wanted to do was BATH TIME! He was much less enthusiastic about this adventure. He didn't like it one bit. But the boy did need the dunk so it was worth the try. Days later I was taking my own bath when Leo suggested we try putting him in with me. To our huge surprise, Nathan loved it. He barely batted an eye and I slowly lowered him in and let him get used to the environment. Perhaps it was familiar to him - the warm wet atmosphere with me cradling him - though in my hands versus my belly. Although considering how much time I spent in that bath tub while waiting for him it shouldn't be a surprise he was at home. Enjoy the pics here - off the first time not the second. Sorry, Jen is too old for bath time pics.

Honestly though, when we stripped him down and put him IN the tub with mommy....he LOVED it. She even held him in her arms in the shower with the water raining down and he didn't make a peep.
